Matt Miller is a Vice President of Discovery Strategy at DiscoverReady, leads DiscoverReady’s Intellectual Property practice group, and manages DiscoverReady’s Charlotte office.
Prior to joining DiscoverReady, Matt practiced law in Charlotte as a member of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice group. In this role, Matt represented clients in a variety of patent infringement matters involving DNA sequencing technology, genetically modified agricultural products, healthcare software and hardware, and a security process involving embedded printed images. During his eight years at Womble, Matt oversaw the development and implementation of comprehensive case strategies spanning from case inception through trial, and participated in multiple jury and bench trials on issues of patent validity, infringement and inequitable conduct. Additionally, Matt represented clients in a variety of traditional business litigation matters, including cases asserting federal securities violations and class actions involving biotechnology and financial companies. In these roles, Matt cultivated extensive experience supervising large scale discovery projects.
Matt is a graduate of Davidson College and graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School . He currently sits on the Childress Klein YMCA Board of Managers and is involved in a variety of community activities in and around Charlotte. Matt is admitted to practice in North Carolina.
