David M. Shub
David Shub is Senior Vice President, Discovery Strategy for DiscoverReady LLC. David has been active in the field of litigation support as an attorney and consultant since 1993.
Prior to joining DiscoverReady, David was Discovery and Records Management Director for Document Technologies, Inc. (www.dtiglobal.com). In that role, David consulted with clients on issues related to electronic discovery, records management, and records retention, wrote articles and made frequent presentations on those topics, and compiled an organized compendium of case law and court rules that impact the practice of electronic discovery and the use of electronic evidence at trial.
As an attorney for Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard in Greensboro, North Carolina, David practiced banking and securities law. As an attorney for Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, DC, David practiced mainly in the areas of SEC investigation and litigation matters, including internal investigations, defending against SEC enforcement actions, and defending against private litigation.
David clerked for one year for Judge William C. Bryson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, assisting the court in analyzing issues, preparing for oral arguments, and drafting opinions.
David received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts & Sciences, a BSEcon from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, and a JD from Duke University School of Law. David served as an Articles Editor on the Duke Law Journal.
David is an active member of the Maryland Bar and a Certified LexisNexis Concordance Trainer, and is an inactive member of the District of Columbia and North Carolina Bars.
